TALISKER Whisky is the single malt Scotch Whisky made by the sea on the shores of the Isle of Skye. Famed for its sea-salty nose, smoky character and peppery finish, it captures and tells the story of its remote and rugged environment. A truly elemental malt, the TALISKER range is famously rich with a powerful peat-smoked flavour.
The TALISKER range includes TALISKER 10 Years Old, the stalwart of the family; TALISKER Skye, which captures the essence of the island in a bottle; and TALISKER Storm, the most powerful in the range with a full expression of TALISKER’s signature smoke.
TALISKER 10 YEARS OLD
TALISKER 10 Years Old is much-loved around the world for its maritime sea-salt flavour, with a smooth and smoky finish. Double distilled to create a rich, deep character embodying maritime characteristics of a coastal whisky, it is one of the most awarded Single Malt Scotch Whiskies in the world. This single malt has a sea-salty nose and famously rich and powerful peat-smoke flavour, leaving a warm peppery taste at the back of the mouth.
TALISKER SKYE
Crafted to reflect the rugged, wild beauty of the Isle of Skye, TALISKER Skye pays homage to the island’s majestic landscape and coastline. Capturing the essence of Skye in a bottle, the liquid has been made from a combination of hand selected toasted and refill American oak casks, carefully chosen by TALISKER’s master blenders to accentuate the sweet, citrus notes of TALISKER, whilst retaining the distillery’s unmistakable character. The result is a TALISKER expression that opens with welcoming, smoky sweet notes, developing into deep maritime flavours and culminating in a powerful, spicy conclusion.
TALISKER STORM
TALISKER Storm is the distillery’s boldest whisky to date. Crafted to enhance the distillery’s signature smoky and briny flavours, TALISKER Storm displays characteristics of the tempestuous seas of its home on the Isle of Skye. The liquid is a combination of casks, carefully selected by the Diageo Master Blenders to offer TALISKER fans a single malt whisky that brings them a storm in a glass. It is spicy on the nose, with a hint of struck matches, brine and an oily explosion of pepper. On the palate a deep, nutty smokiness is followed by a hit of wood and brine, finishing with a smooth aftertaste of peaty burnt embers.
TALISKER 18 YEARS OLD
An award-winning whisky with wonderful sweetness and warmth, intertwined with just a thread of smoke, TALISKER 18 Years Old is rich and soft but still assertive. It was named ‘Best Single Malt Whisky in the World’ at the World Whiskies Awards in 2007. Rich and fruity with butterscotch on the nose, on the palate it is sweet yet assertive, with a hint of smoke, finishing with the characteristic chilli ‘catch’.
