Sandeep Arora introduced India to the art of “luxury drinking” in 2003, by introducing the William Grant’s Rare Whisky Collection, UK – a range of aged vintages & luxury whiskies. It was the first introduction to luxury spirits in India & comprised whiskies from 30 YO to 64 YO….some even priced at INR 2.5 million a bottle. Over the years, he created new concepts in spirits & premium beverages and contributed to the hospitality industry by launching learning & development initiatives, thus enhancing excellence in beverage standards. In 2007, he added to the whisky & dining experiences by showcasing the First Whisky & Food Pairing in India and all through advocated Responsible Drinking. The first professional Whisky Appreciations in India were hosted by Sandeep Arora in 2008-9, when he partnered with BMW, India to showcase a world-class Whisky & Dining Experience. Whisky Live and Icons of Whisky Awards were launched in 2008, as India`s first international whisky show & Awards.
