Nothing sums it better than http://buyviagraonlineshop.com this! What’s a celebration if it’s not with people we love.
Come festival season, we look forward to entertaining and being entertained with tons of terrific food and drink welcoming the festive spirit with host of night outs and get togethers. From sophisticated indoor dinners to flashiest outdoor events, this year is the flavour of clean yet bold flavours.
With lots of new and exciting things happening in the spirits world, which forms the core of festivities we would like to share some delectable new trends to embrace this season.
Making waves and splashes this season is Gin. As a category, Gin didn’t have much potential in India for many years but has overnight emerged as a great new product grabbing everyone’s interest, and we suggest you stock up a modest gin bar at home. It’s easy enough with a lot of new labels, variants and options of gin available currently at duty free shops and retail.
Gin is a great platform to work on, its versatile and you can create some great cocktails using fresh ingredients. Say no to sugar loaded syrups, aerated and artificial additives and use some fresh and healthy substitutes like citruses, herbs and some whole spices and aromatics.
With always a higher focus on sipping more than eating, it would be a great idea to keep it simple. Gin pairs amazingly well with tapas. Some of the paired favourites are Parma Ham with Melon, Smoked Salman & Bacon, Lavash & Guacamole, Barbecued Pineapple, some lightly buttered and pepper tossed Prawns and Bruschetta.
Another must have, is Whisky. Over the last few years, whisky has evolved and brands from across the world are here to please the Indian palate. American, Irish, Japanese whiskies have found their own footing along with Scotch Whisky. It is no longer a gentleman’s prerogative to sip this liquid gold as more and more women are enjoying their steady companionship with this spirit. In fact, the season’s hot picks are American Whiskies – Rye and Bourbon with the revival of classic cocktails like Manhattan & Old Fashioned.
The hero of the pairing are the humble Indian kebabs. Beautifully spiced and indulgent, they complement the Whiskies best because of the heavy bottomed nature of the liquid.
No bar is complete without the good old Rum, Beer & Vodka, although Gin remains a stiff competition. You can keep Vodka stocked for the occasional Martinis and Mules. Even though Premium Rums are yet to park their footprint in this market, there will always be the occasional Rum drinkers you can’t turn down. Like-wise there will always be beer drinkers, regardless the season. Tequilas are another emerging style statement with some amazing luxury brands making their way into the market.
Stock up that bar with some fine spirits accompanied by a bevy of cocktails, pair them up with some deliciously delicate tapas, some full-bodied and robust Indian kebabs, small bite sized protein dressed in fresh ingredients and whole spices oozing with subtle flavours. Do away with the heavy mains, keep it lite add a Chocolate bar for that quintessential sweet bite and you have a winner!
Cheers and drink responsibly!
